***Offering free 30-minute virtual consults for new clients***

Hi, I’m Sonja, an intern counsellor currently completing the final stage of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I offer a grounded, compassionate space for individuals navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, and relationship challenges.

Before pursuing counselling, I spent nearly a decade working as a Correctional Officer, where I saw firsthand the impact of chronic stress, trauma, and emotional fatigue on first responders and their families. Those experiences shaped my understanding of resilience and the importance of feeling truly heard and supported.

In our sessions, my focus is on helping you slow down, make sense of what’s feeling heavy, and reconnect with yourself. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and somatic awareness to help you notice how your body and mind respond to stress.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we’ll work toward creating balance, clarity, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
