Get to know Sarah

Hi! I’m Sarah, and I offer virtual therapy to adults across Ontario. I have a special interest in providing therapy for women and trans folks struggling with eating disorders/disordered eating, negative body image, sexual abuse, complex trauma, reproductive health concerns (especially endometriosis), chronic illness, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal concerns. As an Expressive Arts student therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Intuitive Eating (CIEC) my orientation is attachment-informed and trauma-responsive.

I have 10+ years’ experience working with eating disorders/disordered eating, chronic dieting cycles, and negative body image in a different capacity. I strive for an anti-oppressive, weight-inclusive, collaborative, and non-pathologizing approach, honouring your lived experience while co-creating a safe (enough) space for healing. If this resonates for you, I invite you to reach out.

I am also an assistant in a Somatic Experiencing training approved to provide personal sessions at the Beginning level.

As a student therapist, I work under the supervision of seasoned Registered Psychotherapists; I am not in private practice.
