Get to know Manuëlle

Hi, I’m Manuëlle. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student, offering therapy under clinical supervision as I complete my graduate training.

Are you known as “the strong one”? The high achiever, first-born daughter, or the person everyone relies on? On the outside, you may appear capable, responsible, and put together, yet internally feel stretched thin, overwhelmed by pressure, or quietly questioning your identity and direction.

As a first-born daughter from a Nigerian, faith-centered Christian background, I understand the tension between cultural expectations, family responsibility, and personal identity. I also understand how easily pressure, achievement, and faith can become intertwined in ways that leave you feeling disconnected from yourself.

I support individuals and couples navigating ADHD, anxiety, relationship stress, family enmeshment, identity concerns, and the emotional weight of always being “the strong one.” My clients are often high-achieving, reflective, and used to holding things together for others, while privately feeling exhausted, stuck in patterns, or unsure how to slow down.

My approach is warm, calm, honest, and gently challenging. I aim to create a space that feels emotionally safe, but not avoidant where we can look at what’s really going on beneath the surface without judgment. I integrate psychodynamic, attachment-based, somatic, and family systems approaches to help you understand the deeper patterns shaping your emotions, relationships, and sense of self.

In our work together, I often help clients connect the dots between past experiences and present-day patterns, especially around identity, pressure, and relational dynamics. Therapy with me is not just about coping it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, loosening the grip of old expectations, and learning how to relate to yourself with more honesty and self-trust.

If this resonates, I invite you to book a complimentary 30-minute consultation to see if this space feels like a good fit for you.
