Hi, I am Laila (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity-related experiences. I bring a collaborative, client-centered approach to my work, grounded in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. My role is to support, guide, and walk alongside clients as they deepen self-understanding and work toward meaningful change.
I also recognize that no two clients are alike and tailor my approach to honor each person’s unique context, strengths, and goals. My practice is informed by an integrative framework that centers strengths-based, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and decolonial principles. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s intersectional identities.
I have seen firsthand the gaps in mental health care, particularly for individuals whose identities, values, and lived experiences are not always reflected in traditional therapeutic spaces. This has shaped my commitment to the field and my goal of making therapy more accessible, inclusive, and responsive, while recognizing the barriers people face in accessing care.
