Get to know Jennifer

I am a Student Therapist in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program, with professional experience working in addictions and community mental health settings. I have worked as an Addictions Counsellor, supporting individuals using both abstinence-based and harm reduction approaches, and I value meeting clients where they are in their readiness for change.

I also have frontline experience working with women and children fleeing domestic violence and human trafficking, as well as individuals living with HIV. This work has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to individuals navigating complex life circumstances and systemic challenges.

My approach to counselling is trauma-informed and client-centred, grounded in respect, collaboration, and emotional safety. As a student therapist, I am committed to ethical practice, reflective learning, and providing supportive care under clinical supervision.
