Get to know Jennifer

I believe healing begins when individuals feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, compassionate, collaborative, and holistic, recognizing the interconnected relationship between the mind, body, emotions, relationships, and lived experiences. I strive to meet clients where they are at, honouring each person’s unique story, pace, values, and capacity for change.

With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare as a physiotherapist and current training in counselling psychology, I support individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, burnout, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, chronic pain, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I also have a particular interest in supporting survivors of trauma and abuse in rebuilding safety, self-trust, self-compassion, and connection with themselves and others.

My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centred care. At the same time, I value the importance of intuition, presence, and authenticity within the therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a nonjudgmental and emotionally safe space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, self-awareness, and compassion while building on their existing strengths and resilience.

My approach has also been shaped by my own ongoing journey of personal growth and healing. Experiences such as walking the Camino de Santiago, attending a 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat, and completing the Kailash Kora in Tibet have deepened my understanding of mindfulness, resilience, suffering, meaning-making, and the healing process. These experiences continue to inform the way I hold space for others with empathy, humility, and openness.

Having lived and worked across multiple countries and cultures, I deeply value culturally responsive and inclusive care. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor therapy to each client’s goals, lived experiences, and worldview. My intention is to support clients in moving toward greater alignment emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually and relationally while developing practical tools for meaningful and sustainable change.
