Get to know Heidi

Hi, I’m so happy you are here.

I am an intern counsellor completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychotherapy. I work with adolescents, youth, and adults across the lifespan navigating life’s messy meaningful moments. I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be ourselves. My hope is to create space where you feel heard, accepted, and supported as we work together to find clarity – even in the midst of life’s chaos. You don’t have to navigate these moments alone. And you don’t have to know the path’s direction before you start.

You have already done the hardest part in making a decision to reach out. Feel free to book a time for us to meet and see if it is a good fit and if for whatever reason it is not, I can help you find someone who is.

Earlier in my career, I worked in child and youth mental health in residential and community settings, provided crisis intervention and safety planning, and have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams. Before returning to graduate study, I spent over a decade in senior corporate and human resources leadership giving me a practical understanding of the pressures facing professionals managing demanding careers alongside relationships, family, and life transitions.

I have a special interest in supporting women’s health – including infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, perimenopause, and the identity shifts that accompany these journeys. My other special interests include eco-anxiety, climate- and sociopolitical- grief, anxiety and emotional dysregulation, burnout, and sleep concerns.

I take a collaborative, trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to therapy integrating CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness in the direction of your goals.

Outside of work, I can be found hiking with my two young kids, dogs, and husband.

I look forward to meeting you!
