My name is Clare and I am a graduate student currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I understand that seeking support can sometimes be intimidating, but I want you to know that you are not alone. I believe everyone’s story is unique and worthy of being held with care. However you choose to arrive and whatever you’re navigating, I’m here to offer a non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to show up exactly as you are.
Before entering the mental health field, I earned an honours degree in Anthropology from McMaster University where my love for understanding human beings really developed. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adjusting to align with each clients unique preferences and lived experiences. I also like incorporating mindfulness and whole-person wellness where it supports the work we’re doing together. Above all, my priority is to create an environment where you feel safe and genuinely supported.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, wrestling with self-acceptance, navigating a difficult life transition, have experienced trauma, or are facing other challenges in your life, I am here to help. I am an ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and I am accepting new clients. I can’t wait to work with you!
