Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Annie, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and intern therapist at Counselling & Co.
If life has you feeling anxious, down, or stuck, you do not have to face it alone. Therapy is a journey, and you do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We will start where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Warmth, respect, and gentle curiosity are at the heart of how I work. Together, we can untangle emotions and experiences, creating space for you to feel more connected to yourself, to others, and to what you truly need to heal and grow.
I am passionate about working with children, teens, and their families, and I bring years of experience supporting children and families through my work as an educator. I enjoy working with children 10+, adults, and families who may be navigating anxiety, depression, chronic pain, life transitions, developmental challenges, questions of self-identity, or those times when you cannot quite name what is wrong but know that something does not feel quite right.
My background has given me a strong understanding of child development and how early experiences and relationships can continue to shape how children understand themselves, manage their emotions, and connect with others as they grow. I enjoy bringing playfulness and creativity into the counselling space, meeting children and teens where they are and finding ways to connect that feel natural and comfortable for them. I also work alongside parents through parent coaching, helping them better understand what may be underneath their child’s behaviour, strengthen their relationship, and discover new ways of responding when things feel challenging or their family feels stuck.
My own experience recovering from a back injury gave me a deeper appreciation for how life’s unexpected turns, and what we hold in our bodies, can affect our emotions, relationships, identity, and sense of hope for the future. As a second-generation Canadian, I also understand the nuances of holding a bi-cultural identity and the challenges of navigating two worlds. I will walk alongside you, not ahead of you, as we explore what helps you thrive and be your most authentic self.
Reaching out can feel like a big step, but you do not have to take it alone. Let’s walk together and see what’s ready to bloom.
