Hello!
My name is Alexandria. I am currently completing my practicum as part of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. My desire to become a therapist evolved from a deep interest that I have always had in the human experience, specifically what shapes us, ways in which we cope, and what allows us to heal and grow. Through the experience of my own healing journey, this interest quickly grew into a desire to support others in their journey towards healing.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy, meaning I meet you where you are and we work together to achieve your desired outcome through a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space. My goal is to help you tap into your inner strengths and develop the tools needed to create meaningful change through a holistic, integrative approach.
I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, stress, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, depression, psychological inflexibility, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and more. I often draw from evidence based modalities such CBT, ACT, mindfulness, DBT, and solution focused,
When I am not working with clients, you may find me reading, spending time outdoors, watching my favourite show, or spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to connecting with you.
