The Gestalt Institute of Toronto Student Clinic

Are you seeking a therapy approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy? At The Gestalt Institute of Toronto Student Clinic, we invite you to explore the potential of our experiential, relational approach to support.   Our therapists are supervised student therapists and Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) in at least their fourth year of our extensive five-year training program.

We approach our work with clients with compassion, empathy and attunement. Relational gestalt therapy prioritizes the “here and now” present experience to support the discovery of creativity, somatic embodiment, response-ability and flexibility in our relationships and life situations.

Gestalt therapy is personalized to explore your specific needs for support, such as navigating life changes, processing unresolved conflicts, understanding relationship dynamics, and integrating differing perspectives.  If you are interested in increasing your awareness, rediscovering your vitality and belonging in a de-sensitized world, and exploring your ability to live more fully in the present, please reach out.

Details:

  • Fee:  $45 per 50-minute individual session
  • Format: Online anywhere in Ontario, or in-person within the GTA
  • Therapists: Supervised students and graduates in Years 4+ of the 5-year Gestalt Institute of Toronto training program
  • Frequency: Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed

Getting Started:

Please complete a brief intake form by clicking the link below so we know how to contact you.

Once the intake form is received and reviewed, a student therapist will contact you by email or phone from a blocked number, so please check your junk mail and ensure your phone can receive these calls.

The intake student therapist will schedule a 45–50-minute assessment to discuss your therapy needs. We will then do our best to match you with an appropriate therapist based on availability and your requirements.

Please note that the Student Clinic has certain limitations. If we are unable to find an appropriate match for you within the clinic, the student therapist conducting your intake assessment will provide you with resources that may be more suitable for your needs.

Online Requirements:
A private space, a video/audio-capable device, and a high-speed internet connection.

Note: The reduced rate is available for up to one year. Your therapist will review their fees with you after one year, as they can set their rates after the one-year period.

You are free to submit a new intake request form to the clinic at any point to be matched with a new therapist, including when they raise their fees.
