Get to know Sophie

I am a Master’s level practicum student in the MACP program at Yorkville University. I have a passion for helping my clients channel their inner strengths and build resiliency as they navigate life’s challenges. I am qualified to practice as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) under the supervision of my CRPO and Yorkville-approved supervisor. As an Indigenous woman, I value an integrative, wholistic approach that best serves the unique identities and experiences of my clients. I like to use CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and mindfulness-based techniques to help guide my clients to discovery and change. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and I want to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space for you to work through stress, anxieties, mood challenges, life changes, and daily struggles. I welcome clients from all walks of life, including those of diverse cultural backgrounds and the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
