For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt pulled toward this work. I’ve always been fascinated by people’s inner lives, and how they reveal themselves through their stories, their wounds, and their strengths. Growing up between cultures, and continually navigating identity and belonging, deepened my attunement to emotional nuance and the complexities of relationships.
I’ve witnessed how transformative it can be when someone feels genuinely seen and understood. In therapy, it might be the first instance when there’s enough safety to gently turn toward parts of themselves they’ve carried with shame or silence. For me, counselling isn’t simply a career. It’s a vocation grounded in connection, empathy, and a deep trust in the healing power of relationship. Walking alongside someone as they move toward greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional steadiness is what continues to move and motivate me each day.
