You might be feeling a bit stuck, overwhelmed, or simply wondering whether you’re “good” enough. Maybe you’re going through changes, experiencing relationship stress, or living with something chronic that takes a lot out of you. If you’re longing for a deeper, kinder connection with yourself or with others, you’re not alone.
My name in Chinese means “river” (江) and “water” (水), which reflects how I approach counselling: steady, gentle, flexible, and supportive, as people find their own way forward. I draw from somatic and attachment-based perspectives, paying attention to how emotions live in the body and unfold within relationships. I work gently and collaboratively, with care for safety, steadiness, and clear boundaries.
I hold a PhD in medical genetics and completed postdoctoral research examining how genetics and life experiences shape mental health. This background informs my emphasis on how biology (including genetics), stress, and lived experience interact to shape each person’s wellbeing. In our work together, we will explore what no longer serves you while tending to the strengths and resources you already carry. You do not need to perform, prove yourself, or become who you think you should be – showing up as you are is enough.
I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and I offer virtual sessions at $30 per session as an associate therapist under supervision. I work with adult individuals and couples. If this resonates with you, we can connect through a free intake session or a 20-minute “get to know me” conversation to see if we’re a good fit.
