Get to know Sarra

Hi there, I’m Sarra (she/her). I am a supervised graduate student therapist, and I provide long-term support with reduced-cost and sliding scale slots available ($20-120), including some pro-bono slots. I have over 10 years of lived and professional experience in the field of mental health, including as a Certified Peer Supporter, DBT Skills Facilitator, and Mental Health Specialist and more.

I specialize in complex trauma, including relational and attachment trauma, Borderline Personality, relationship challenges, emotion dysregulation, ADHD, and other related concerns. I use an integrative and collaborative approach grounded in Internal Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Relational Psychodynamic, Somatic and Applied Polyvagal approaches. I prioritize relational safety and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, and I apply anti-oppressive frameworks to meet the unique needs of each client.

I also offer a 30-minute free consultation for new clients to gauge if working together is a good fit, and I have immediate availability for in-person (Centretown, Ottawa) and virtual sessions.
