Get to know Sahana

Sahana is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at York University, currently completing her practicum with Ripple Effect Services. Ripple offers neuroscience-informed counselling that helps individuals build insight, strengthen their sense of safety and connection, and gain clarity in navigating life’s challenges.

Sahana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) and brings meaningful experience working with children, youth, and young adults from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about supporting young people through life transitions and challenges, helping them identify their strengths, pursue personal goals, and build resilience for ongoing growth.

Her approach is strengths-based and collaborative, with a focus on creating a respectful, non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey.

Outside of her professional work, Sahana enjoys crafting, watching her favourite shows, and playing board games with loved ones. She is also proficient in Tamil.
