If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying more than you can share out loud, you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to offer a space where you can set some of that weight down, speak freely, and begin making sense of the patterns and emotions shaping your life.
Many of the people I work with describe feeling unseen or overextended—whether as students under pressure, perfectionists weighed down by their own expectations, or individuals navigating complex family or relationship dynamics. You may also be balancing cultural and family values with your personal needs, or reflecting on your identity as part of the Muslim or immigrant community. These experiences can feel confusing and isolating, but together we can explore where these patterns come from, what they may be protecting you from, and how you can move toward a life that feels more authentic and grounded.
As a South Asian/East African Muslim woman and daughter of immigrants, I bring lived experience of layered identities, intergenerational expectations, and the challenge of finding balance between cultural values and self-compassion. Having navigated my own career transition and journey with perfectionism, I know how difficult—but also how rewarding—it can be to slow down, reflect, and move toward clarity.
In our sessions, we may explore the roots of family or relationship struggles, uncover the origins of self-criticism, or gently shift the narratives that leave you feeling stuck. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychoanalytic perspectives, and I hold a special interest in generational transference. If important to you, I can also integrate spiritual perspectives into our work.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy time with loved ones, browsing bookstores, and creative reflection. I believe healing is less about becoming someone new and more about reconnecting with who you already are—with compassion and honesty.
If this resonates with you, I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you begin this journey.
