Get to know Rae

Hello! I’m Rae (she/they).

I am a solo parent and have worked in the sexual and reproductive health and rights space for six years under several hats, including Community Organizer, Sex Educator, Doula, and Executive Director of a nonprofit.

Having had a chaotic start to parenting myself, experiences close to my heart include the impact of a history of trauma on perinatal experiences, burnout, solo parenting, and raising interracial children.

I strive to create counselling relationships that are based on trust and mutual respect. I value showing up human and aim to foster a radical space to connect with yourself and untangle all the good, bad, and ugly perinatal transitions offer.

Social justice, feminist, intersectional, and systemic frameworks guide my work. I pull from relational, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive approaches, as well as the innate belief that everyone is the expert in their own experience. Together, we’ll explore and collaborate using your own strengths.

If you’re interested in working with me, let’s chat to see if I’d be a good fit to support you. Contact me directly for a free 15-minute meet-and-greet session at RaeJardine@proton.me
