Get to know Owen

You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by anxiety, depression, grief, or life’s challenges. Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating the pain of loss, struggling with low mood or worry, or managing the stress of living in a world that doesn’t always understand neurodiverse experiences. Whatever you’re going through, I aim to meet you with compassion and understanding, offering a safe and supportive space where we can explore your experiences together and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, with a focus on men’s issues, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, and supporting neurodiverse individuals—including Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, and learning disabilities. Whether you or your child are navigating the unique challenges of neurodiversity, I provide support that is practical, compassionate, and developmentally attuned. For children, this might mean learning emotional regulation, building coping tools for anxiety, or developing social skills. For parents, it may involve strengthening communication, supporting sibling dynamics, and exploring attachment-based approaches that foster resilience.

The tools we use will be shaped around your unique needs so therapy feels both meaningful and practical. This may include recognizing and naming emotions, role-playing to build perspective-taking, reframing self-critical thoughts, or exploring what neurodiversity means for you or your child. Sessions are collaborative, strengths-based, and respectful of your pace.

My approach is holistic and client-centred, recognizing the connection between body and mind. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Humanistic approaches, and always work through a trauma-informed lens. My background as a Behaviour Therapist gave me strong experience in supporting neurodiverse individuals, crisis intervention, and emotional development—skills I continue to integrate into my psychotherapy practice.

This work is deeply personal to me. Growing up with parents in social services and healthcare instilled in me the values of compassion, resilience, and community care, which guide my work today.

Starting therapy doesn’t mean having everything figured out—it simply means being open to support. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. Our work begins with an initial consultation where we can discuss your needs and goals, and together we’ll create a plan that feels right for you.
