Hello! My name is Lindsey and I am currently working toward completing the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. I am working as a student psychotherapist with Supporting Your Journey as I complete my education. My career background is in sales and marketing and counselling is a big change that I am incredibly excited to be making. My background means that I bring to counselling unique one-to-one support, empathic listening, problem solving skills and strong communication. I enjoy getting to know you and working together to find solutions that benefit you and who you are as an individual. Having worked in a corporate setting for over 12 years I also have a keen understanding of the difficulties that can arise when trying to find a balance between work and life. By using a person-centered and collaborative approach, I believe that we can help you to find the balance that is so needed in life to ensure that issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress can be managed.
I also have a personal and strong interest in helping all individuals involved in adoption navigate the complexities that are faced before, during, and after the adoption process. Adoption is a lifelong commitment for all those involved and it is an incredibly unique experience. My personal experience provides me with a deep understanding of the adoption experience and I would love to help others through their own experiences.
