Get to know Lauren

Hey, I’m Lauren! I’m so glad you’re here!

Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions – uncertainty, hope, anxiety, excitement, or even shame– and that’s totally okay. Whatever you’re carrying, know that it’s welcome here, and that you are accepted and seen.

In our sessions, we will explore your underlying beliefs, experiences, emotions, and hopes for the future. In terms of personality, you’ll find that I am empathetic, straight-forward, with a sharp sense of humour! I fully believe that you have what it takes to get through to the other side of whatever you’re facing. There are many strengths you’ve yet to discover (or rediscover) within yourself. With that said, I will challenge those deeply-rooted behaviours and thought patterns that are holding you back from your healthiest self. This journey will involve a lot of self-reflecting, diving deep, being honest, and consist of ups and downs, but is worth the reward of being in tune with yourself.

Areas of treatment I offer include; anxiety, boundaries, depression, grief and loss, healing from emotionally immature parents, highly sensitive persons, life transitions, singleness, and young caregivers.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, so I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Spiritually Integrated Therapy.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies, with a minor in Human Relationships. I am currently
completing my Masters in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. While my
journey is ongoing, I am so grateful for the people I have met, things I have learned, and the growth that has come from it.

During my time off, I find joy in discovering new cafes, singing, reading, making people laugh, scrolling through home decor trends and getting artsy! I’m here for you and I’m rooting for you. To see if we’d be a good fit, you can set up a free virtual meet and greet.

I offer both in-person and online video sessions.
