Get to know Lani

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and am presently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

By empowering clients to regain control over their lives and mental health, I hope to make them feel less alone on their journey. You are not alone if you are dealing with relationship issues, stress, anxiety, or despair. For you, I am here. You can come here for support and advice on new coping strategies for managing life’s changes, overcoming stress and burnout, or reflecting on how you got to this point. Our lives are full of unexpected turns, and having someone by your side may be quite helpful. I’ve had experience working with clients using person-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, narrative, and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapies. I aid people at every step of their life journey, assisting them in overcoming obstacles related to anxiety, hopelessness, loss, and the life transitions that come with choosing to have children.

I have five years of experience and a strong interest in maternal mental health, particularly with postpartum parents. I interviewed moms about their experiences after giving birth as part of my co-running company, ee-mah. After publishing their tales anonymously on Instagram, we saw a great response and decided to compile them into a book called “No one Ever Told Me.” This compilation of maternity tales can help you navigate the postpartum period. Ever since this book was published, I have kept up my work in mental health, helping people navigate their lives and meeting the requirements of parents.

The therapeutic alliance is, in my opinion, the most crucial aspect of therapy.
