Get to know Kizee

Kizee is highly dedicated to the field of psychology, combining extensive knowledge with practical experience in her work. Holding a Master’s degree in counseling and psychology, she has a strong foundation in mental health research, which has deepened her understanding of therapeutic techniques and client needs. Her clinical expertise is further strengthened by her time at CAMH, Canada’s leading mental health research hospital.

Kizee focuses on creating a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. One of her main objectives in therapy is to help clients feel safe, comfortable, and validated throughout the process, encouraging open expression. She offers a trauma-informed, empathic, and anti-oppressive environment that allows individuals and couples to share their stories and experience meaningful healing and growth. Her therapeutic approach is flexible and integrative, using a variety of modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs. She employs person-centered therapy to promote empathy and non-judgment, psychodynamic therapy to explore unconscious influences on behavior, and solution-focused brief therapy to leverage client strengths in achieving goals. Her humanistic therapy fosters personal growth and self-actualization, while Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) addresses specific trauma needs. Additionally, Kizee uses the Gottman Method to improve relationship dynamics. Her comprehensive background in both mental health research and clinical practice enriches her skills and commitment, ensuring a thoughtful and impactful therapeutic approach.

Kizee is fluent in both Spanish and English.
