Hi, I’m Kendra Pennington (she/they). I am a supervised graduate student therapist, and I provide long-term support at reduced costs ($0-120). I offer in-person sessions in Centretown Ottawa and virtual across Ontario and Quebec. As an experienced crisis responder with both lived and professional experience in the mental health field, I have spent the last three years supporting individuals navigating life transitions, mental health difficulties, and relational struggles.
My work has a strong focus on complex trauma and post-traumatic stress, as well as anxiety, depression, and burnout. As a queer therapist, I also have personal experience navigating gender and identity exploration. I use an integrative approach, pulling mainly from Somatic, Emotion-Focused, and Psychodynamic therapies with a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens. I strive for our sessions to be a space where you feel comfortable to arrive as you are.
To get to know each other and see if we would be a good match, I offer a free 30-minute consultation for new clients.
