Get to know Kay

In a fast-paced and often unpredictable world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when your experiences are overlooked or misunderstood. When recognition is missing, it can affect your sense of identity, how you connect with others, and how you see your place in the world. My intention as a therapist is to offer support as you navigate these moments, affirm who you are, and work toward building stronger relationships with yourself and the people around you.

As a queer therapist, I am deeply committed to fostering a non-judgmental, safe and inclusive therapeutic space. Through an intersectional, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens, I approach therapy with the understanding that everyone’s experience is shaped by multiple identities and systemic factors. My goal is to help you explore your unique journey, honour your experiences and values, uncover your strengths and empower you to thrive in your authentic self.

In our sessions together, I take a compassionate, grounded and attentive approach. I believe in listening closely to your story, meeting you where you are, and walking with you through the moments that matter, whether they bring challenge, growth or a shift in direction. I trust in your ability to make sense of what you’re feeling and aim to offer a space where you can do that without pressure.

I specialize in working with youth and young adults navigating life transitions and relationships, neurodivergent folks seeking support in understanding themselves better, and LGBTQ+ individuals looking for a therapist who affirms their identity and experiences. Above all, I am committed to building a therapeutic relationship with you that is rooted in trust, respect and collaboration.

As someone who has experienced their own mental health challenges, I know how daunting it can be to seek support. I commend you for taking the first step. If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, it would be a privilege to work with you.
