Student Therapist
** Inquire with the student therapist about your options for therapy after their end date.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and am currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology. My approach to therapy is integrative, holistic, and culturally-informed, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. I blend various therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual client.
In our sessions, I like to delve into the different parts that make up who you are, helping you see that you are more than just the challenges you face. The most important aspect of our work together is building a strong therapeutic relationship, where trust and support are at the forefront.
I can help you explore your history to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and how it influences your relationships, self-perception, and work. Whether you’re seeking to build skills, gain new insights, or simply need someone to talk to, I’m here to support you.
I chose this profession because I genuinely care about people. Having grown up in an immigrant South Asian household with a single mother, I understand the adversities that life can present. This background fuels my passion for helping others navigate difficult times.
Coming from a collectivist background but born and raised in Canada, I understand the unique pressures of navigating between two cultures. As a therapist, I can be an ally for bi-cultural and ethnic individuals facing these challenges, helping to address the anxieties and complexities that arise from balancing different cultural expectations.
I strive to offer a safe, open, and judgment-free space where you can feel heard and supported. My approach is grounded in patience and empathy as we work together on your journey.
