As an Expressive Arts Therapist-in-Training, I will seek to connect with you on your life journey with gentleness, openness, inclusivity, and a sense of movement towards spirit, joy and meaning in living. Expressive Arts Therapy draws upon all the artistic disciplines and is suitable for people both with or without experience in the arts. I may also incorporate elements of Relational Therapy, and Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused approaches. With a calm and gentle presence, I can help you to regulate your nervous system, fully be yourself, and express what’s true for you in the moment. Together we will use imagination and the arts to bring about an awareness of strengths and resources, provide a new perspective on challenges, and create the life you want to live. I bring my whole self to my practice, including my queerness, and my background of over ten years working in non-profit agencies supporting adults with complex histories of loss, illness and trauma. I am trauma-informed, aware of the effect of social systems on health and wellbeing, and inclusive and client-centred around how people relate to identities and challenges. I am also a singer-songwriter, and find support in connecting with creativity and play in my everyday life.
