In general, my clinical focus is directed toward individuals ages 18+ who struggle with anxiety and depression, abandonment and acceptance, grief, isolation, loneliness, loss of autonomy, choice, community, and social support. In particular, I have worked with issues related to regret and a search for understanding in terms of meaning, purpose, and value in life from the context of spiritual care within the senior community.
Often, challenges are present throughout the life cycle, appearing in times of transition and change, offering an opportunity for development, growth, healing, and new meaning. In support of client engagement, I draw primarily from client-centered therapy, existential therapy, narrative therapy, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy to explore your life story and the problems that may have saturated your narrative.
In session, you can anticipate a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgemental presence as we explore biological, psychological, social, and spiritual narratives of your life. As trust is co-constructed, we will seek to identify meaning and value of these experiences, in pursuit of examining who you were in that moment of time compared to who you are now; finding and applying your current strengths and values, challenging the problem narrative and applying new meaning and value to shape your present and future.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Trent University (2023) and am currently completing a Masters in Psychospiritual Studies in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Knox College at the University of Toronto.
