Get to know Claudette

Hello, I’m Claudette, a dedicated student counselor with 27 years of experience as a first responder. My extensive background has provided me with valuable expertise in supporting individuals affected by significant life events, systemic issues, and crime which often leads to trauma, anxiety, depression, and other challenges that impact mental health. I am skilled in helping clients navigate barriers and work towards overcoming them.

My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that every person has the intrinsic ability to improve their life circumstances with the right support. I blend empathetic listening with evidence-based techniques to provide a personalized and effective therapeutic experience. Utilizing a biopsychosocial framework and a respect-focused foundation, I integrate theories and interventions from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to address each client’s unique needs and goals.

I value creating a trauma-informed environment that fosters self-reflection, self-discovery, and honors each person’s unique experiences and self-agency. My goal is to help clients understand their life factors, address distress and core wounds, and promote meaningful, lasting change.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to providing a non-judgmental space where you can feel empowered and supported in your journey towards well-being.
