Christina is completing a Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Prior to this, she graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Social Work. Between completing university and starting graduate studies, Christina has had a wide range of professional experiences, from working as a mental health intake worker in a hospital and school setting to hosting a marriage and parenting podcast with her husband and providing marriage mentorship through speaking at conferences and at churches. Christina has devoted hundreds of hours to assisting couples in strengthening their marriages.
Christina is eager to work with individuals and couples. Her clinical practice is grounded in an integrative, client-centred approach. She draws from various therapy models, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches. Her heartfelt desire is to accompany her clients with care and compassion on their journey toward health and healing. She also incorporates spiritual perspectives into therapy, taking seriously the spiritual dimensions of her clients’ lives.
