Calling all curious creatives!
I’m Christa, a student art therapist in clinical supervision. My approach is gentle, relational and client-centred. I see therapy as a space to reconnect with your strengths and resilience while nurturing a greater sense of steadiness and ease.
I’m fat positive, LGBTQ2S+ affirming and disability affirming. I value access, inclusion and I aim to create a space where your identities and lived experiences are respected.
In sessions, we move at your pace. Art-making and reflection unfold in a way that feels safe and manageable for you. No art experience is needed, in fact the messiest pieces can often be the most meaningful. The focus is on the process of making and exploring what’s happening in your world.
I have experience working with women, children and teens and I practice from a trauma-informed, feminist lens. I support folx who are:
-exploring their gender identity
-navigating self esteem or self-worth concerns
-experiencing anxiety and/or depression
-feeling burnout, overwhelm or emotional exhaustion
-facing oppression and systemic barriers
-processing experiences connected to identifying as a woman
-experiencing housing insecurity or economic hardship
-living with a diagnosed mental health condition
Art-making is tailored to meet you where you are and align with your goals. Whether online or in-person, materials can be flexible and may include paint, drawing, sculpture, collage, fibre art and more.
I’d love to meet you to see whether art therapy feels like a good fit for you.
