Get to know Ayena
I’m an intern therapist at Alli Therapy, providing compassionate virtual support to individuals navigating life’s challenges. As a second-generation Canadian with parents who immigrated from Fiji, and identifying as South-Asian, I understand firsthand the complexities of balancing cultural values with personal identity. My lived experience gives me insight into cultural norms and their influence on mental well-being. I am passionate about social justice and approach therapy with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and emotional awareness, supporting clients as they explore their place in the world.
My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I draw from different therapeutic methods and adapt treatment to best suit your needs. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; rather, it’s a way for me to walk alongside you and explore what brought you to therapy and then decide together the most appropriate ways to help you make progress.
