Get to know Ashley

As individuals, we often strive to become the best versions of ourselves using different tools and techniques. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental environment that allows you to feel comfortable with navigating feelings and emotions, both known and unknown. You are the expert of your life. As a therapist, I hope to walk alongside you on this journey towards fulfilment, growth, and positive change as we work collaboratively to uncover untapped strengths.

I am a cisgender, first-generation immigrant of African-Caribbean descent. As a Canadian born, I acknowledge the challenges of understanding the cultural nuances and intergenerational trauma of having multiple cultural identities. I welcome conversation about this subject and the way it has and continues to influence your development of self.

Meeting a client where they are at in their journey is important to me. Oftentimes, you will notice that our sessions together are client-led. This is intentional as I acknowledge each individual’s ability to narrate their realities. Having personally witnessed the transformative impact of a meaningful therapeutic relationship, I feel honoured to facilitate this journey with you.

My work is supervised by Meghan Watson, M.A Registered Psychotherapist.
