Get to know Amelia

Hi & welcome! My name is Amelia and I am a student therapist currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. With training in suicide intervention and trauma-informed care, I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. My approach is person-centered and flexible, drawing from humanistic and mindfulness-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), to meet you where you’re at. I primarily work with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, suicidality, hopelessness, and emotional regulation challenges. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.
