Get to know Amanda

Amanda is a Qualifying Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and is currently a student of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. She prioritizes the importance of the therapist client relationship while engaging in a client-centred and strength-based approach. Amanda adapts therapeutic approaches to meet the clients’ unique needs and is comfortable working through a CBT, TF-CBT, humanistic, SFBT, and attachment-based lens. She firmly believes that each client has strengths within them to solve their own problems and her views of the role of the therapist is to assist the client to become aware of their strengths and resources. Amanda finds meaning and fulfillment in facilitating client change. Her areas of interest include relational and attachment issues, relationship difficulty, trauma, life transitions, and self-esteem.
