Hi there! I’m Alex. My journey into psychotherapy has taken me across the world and through different careers, but at the heart of it all is my passion for helping people grow and heal.
For six years, I lived in South Korea, where I had the opportunity to teach English and science to students of all ages while also working in interpretation and translation. My time there allowed me to connect with my cultural roots, learn Korean, and expand my global perspective. I believe that multicultural competence is something we continually develop, and I’m committed to supporting diverse individuals with empathy, respect, and cultural humility.
In my clinical work, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain new perspectives, and foster personal growth and resilience. I believe in empowering you to navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being. I welcome people from all walks of life, regardless of ethnicity, ability, faith, gender identity, or sexual orientation. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy (NT).
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me in a library or café, enjoying a good book and a cup of coffee. I also love going for walks to reconnect with nature or playing video games to escape into different worlds. Lastly, spending time with my family, friends, and two dogs is always a priority for me.
